No two underpinning projects are ever the same, and most of them are very dangerous. The project shown above was of a sinking front entry of a denver home, that was causing severe structural issues with the front door, bricks and roof structure.

We started the job by providing a full structural engineering report and plan detail. Once the engineering plans were submitted and approved by the city of denver we obtained the permits necessary to start the project.

Alpine Companies provided all soil excavation that was needed to access the bottom of the homes existing footings and foundations. Once the excavtion was complete we secured the site with all safety and shoring services necessary to safely work on the foundation underpinning project.

The next step in the homes underpin process was to install new concrete caissons and top load cement pads that were designed per load to lift and support the existing structure. Lifting the footing and foundation back in place is a very slow process, that entails strict monitoring with our on site laser level.

Now that the foundation is properly lifted and supported new concre is poured to hold the structure in place, the areas are backfilled and the landscaping was returned back to original condition.
