This Littleton Colorado home was designed and built on concrete caissons with poured concrete foundation walls. When doing a crawl space to basement conversion this type of foundation design is the easiest to work with. The reason the caisson foundations are the easiest conversion are because Alpine Companies can do all of the dirt excavation at one time. This allows us to install the new concrete foundation in one pour, using our concrete trucks and are own concrete pumps. From there Alpine Companies saw cut the concrete foundation that linked the existing basement to the new basement space, removed the foundation and installed a new frame and door. Alpine then installed a grid of rebar where the new concrete basement floor was being installed and poured the interior concrete floor completing the project in 3 weeks. This crawl space to basement conversion also got 2 basement egress conversions in the area where the existing basement was already located.
